Bill Richardson Won't Support Lieberman.
New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson weasels out on whether he supports Senator Joe Lieberman in the Connecticut Democratic Primary on August 8th. Saying he just doesn't know enough about it. He'll leave that to the National Party and others. After some prompting by Imus, Richardson went on to say maybe he would adopt Chris Dodd's statement on supporting Lieberman. It would be nice if he would come up with an original thought of his own.
Just for kicks go to Google and type in, Bill Richardson scandal, and read some of the results. You come away with two thoughts. The first being that Governor Richardson seems to be involved in a lot of shady things. The second is that New Mexico appears to have one of the most corrupt state governments in the country.

Imus threatened Jon Meacham that if Harold Ford Jr. doesn't appear on the cover of Newsweek. That Meacham can go promote his next book on Howard Stern.
Harold Ford Jr. says he hopes President Bush will have Colin Powell come back to the administration to serve some role. He urged the President to ask for the resignation of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

Richard Engel reports this morning on Imus that 7 Israeli soldiers were killed on the border with Lebanon, and 2 Israeli soldiers were kidnapped. Hezbollah announced the kidnapped soldiers have been taken to a secure location. Update: Israel says Hezbollah raids an "act of war."
Imus is trying to get CBS President Les Moonves to come out to the ranch and personally push the Bob Shieffer bobble head doll into the water.
Imus is selling two Hummers from the ranch at Rich Ford Auto Sales in Edgewood, New Mexico, phone 505-286-3000. The Hummers are in great shape and are selling for $35,000.00 a piece with all the proceeds going to the ranch.
Senator Chris Dodd reports that the Combating Autism Act will be marked up in the Health Committee on July 19th. There are some reports that language in the bill concerning the examination of what causes autism has been removed. If this does happen Senator Dodd promises to fight this change vigorously. I will post further information on this as it becomes available.

Saying everything was fine until the Bush administration referred to North Korea as being part of the Axis of Evil. Imus called him out on this big time. Imus quote, “I would make the observation about Korea violating this agreement you all made with them. It's like me being married for 12 years and saying well she called me an a-hole, which happens often. Well I decided I'm going to cheat on her. Well I mean because the President referred to them as the Axis of Evil isn't a reason to violate the agreement. That's not a reason for them to violate the agreement.” Richardson, “alright I'm not defending them I'm just saying...”
